One-on-One             Swim Lessons

At Shipman Swim School, we specialize in one-on-one swim lessons that are designed to cater to the individual needs of your child. Starting as young as 18 months old, we will ensure your child receives the attention they need to develop their swim skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Safety First

Your child's safety is our top priority. We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio (from 2:1 to 1:1), which allows for close personal attention and ensures that your child is always in safe hands. Our staff is committed to providing a safe, fun and enjoyable swim experience for all of our students.

Year-Round Swimming Lessons

We believe in the value of consistency, which is why we offer weekly recurring lessons year round. Regular swim lessons help your child to build confidence in the water and develop their skills progressively.

Registering for Swim Lessons

You can register for our swim lessons directly from our Swim Class Schedule page. Simply click on the 'register' button for the class you are interested in and follow the prompts. If you have any questions prior to registering, please do not hesitate to contact us. We're here to help!

Private Lessons

Our private lessons offer an excellent opportunity for your child to maximize their swim time and achieve impressive results. When children have a class to themselves, they can fully focus on their skills and make the most out of their time in the pool.

Choosing the Right Lesson

When choosing a swim lesson for your child, it's important to consider their age. In order to create a safe and positive environment, we require children ages 3 and younger to be in one-on-one private lessons.

Semi-private lessons are for children ages 4 and up.

Small Class for Effective Learning

We believe in the power of small-class learning. Smaller classes allow for more personalized instruction, ensuring that each child gets the attention and guidance they need to improve their swim skills.
